2008 Hurricane Forecast

Thirteen named storms will form this hurricane season which begins in June.

Seven of the 13 are expected to become hurricanes, 3 of them reaching at least category 3 intensity.

There is a 60% probability of at least one Category 3, 4 or 5 hurricane making landfall along the U.S. coastline.

The probability of an east coast strike is 37% (the average for the last century was 31%).
